Hi Folks!

I'm finally reviving the purpose of the original Barre Beat Facebook page to toot the fantastic about Barre, the Granite Center of the World! And to give folks insight on what it's like to live here and resources that may help.

My name is Phayvanh Luekhamhan, you may have seen me around town. My partner and I moved to Barre, VT in 2014 after living in Vermont for many decades. It's where we like to call home.

I welcome other writers and collaborators. I can't do it all, and it takes everyone pitching in to create a community. So if you want to talk about the good work you or others are doing, feel free to get in touch and write about it here.

We are also heading into an election year and I hope to explore the issues that affect Barre through that lens as well. Again, I welcome insight into what issues matter to you.
